Why do I make things? I could say that if I didn?t make art that I might be a criminal, a drone passing out volleyballs, or a bean-counting number cruncher. I could be a junkie, a thief, a whore...a starving, suffering artist living through his art or in spite of it. That all may be true; but I have six stories....

"I grew up thinking that the Museum of Natural History in New York City was an art museum.  I was enthralled by the dioramas of western America, the incredible models of Indian fishing traps, and the big blue whale hanging from the ceiling."

Living in the Hudson Valley has been an inspiration to me as an artist, sculptor and designer.  Although we are not quite two hours from NYC, so when I need that hyper urban fix.....Having grown up on Long Island and always being at the beach, and now on the Rondout Creek and Hudson River nourishes and rejuvenates.  We live in a somewhat urban environment in Kingston surrounded by the countryside.  We live in a community of artists and NYC ex-pats.  We live in a multi-cultural neighborhood.  We live in a working class neighborhood that dates back to the 1800?s when the river traffic bustled.

My work incorporates recycled, repurposed and reused materials.  I am a visionary who looks at broken chairs and old doors and sees sculpture and handcrafted remade furniture.
